Meet the Staff: Mercedes Donaldson BSc (Hons), MCSP

Chartered Physiotherapist

Mercedes qualified as a physiotherapist in 2005 from Bristol University and currently works for the large teaching hospitals of Guys and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. Since qualifying, she has worked within the musculoskeletal field and has a keen interest in treating sports injuries. In addition she has developed skills in treatment of ante-natal and post-natal conditions, including back and pelvic pain,.as well as ante-natal advice and education.

Her experience includes assessment and treatment of chronic pain, sports injuries and rehabilitation, spinal stabilisation training (core stability), hydrotherapy, obstetrics, orthopaedics (post surgery rehabilitation), neuro and care of the elderly. Mercedes has also undergone the appropriate training and is now qualified in advanced use of the swiss ball as an adjunct to rehabilitation.
