Emma qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 2008 from Teesside University. She commenced her career in a private practice in Australia, teaching Pilates and rehabilitating a wide variety of sports injuries and work related injuries. Since returning to the UK she has worked within the NHS and private practice treating musculoskeletal, orthopaedic, neurological with a Special interest in Parkinson’s (she is a PDWarrior instructor) pre and post natal Pilates, osteoporosis, falls prevention and vestibular rehabilitation. She is a qualified Clinical Pilates instructor, which she teaches on a one to one basis, carefully selecting specific exercises depending on the person and the condition. She uses Pilates and rehabilitation expertise to rehabilitate all conditions, treating the root and not just the problem. Emma regularly undertakes training courses to update her skills and has recently completed a diploma in orthopaedic medicine. She uses a variety of techniques to treat including acupuncture/dry needling, kinesiology taping and a variety of mobilization/manipulation techniques. She is also about to undertake training to provide work station assessments.
