About Maria Kanaki

Maria is a Chartered Physiotherapist registered also with the Health Professional Council. She qualified in 2008 from the Technological Educational Institute of Thessaloniki, Greece and has since attended several courses related to hands-on therapy. In 2011 she relocated to London. Maria throughout the years has come across different techniques to ensure the commitment to continue her professional development and provide a range of treatment options to her patients. Amongst the variety of patients she has seen in her 9 year career are musculoskeletal, orthopaedic and neurological patients. She has treated patients following knee, hip and shoulder reconstruction always aiming to functional rehabilitation. Patients suffering from neck or back problems have been treated with respect to their perception of pain, physical and psychological discomfort.
Amongst neurological patients were people diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, acute and non-acute post stroke patients and Multiple Sclerosis. Maria often treats elderly patients showing a good understanding of their everyday problems regarding their physical and psychosocial limitations.
