About Mario Iodice

Mario qualified as a Chartered Physiotherapist in 2015 from La Sapienza, University of Rome, Italy. He commenced his career in a National Italian charity 10 years ago providing specialised assessment and neurological treatment to children and adults with neuromuscular diseases such as Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, Spinal Muscular Amyotrophy and similar. As well as working in the charity, he broadened his neurological experience working in private practice with adults with the most common neurological clinical conditions such as Parkinson and Alzheimer diseases, Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis. Since he moved to the UK,  he has worked within the Great Ormond Street Hospital as a research physiotherapist and, currently, in a private charity treating Children with Cerebral Palsy and some of the most common pre and post natal paediatric clinical conditions. He uses the knowledge and experience gained by having undertaken 2 postgraduate degrees in Posturology (science studying correlations between posture and related painful condition) and Manual Therapy, allowing Mario to develop an in depth expertise in orthopaedic conditions and their treatment. Currently, he is undertaking the third Master degree at University College London in Advanced Paediatric physiotherapy.  Consequently, he has been working successfully in a variety of Physiotherapy disciplines, such as Orthopaedic, Paediatric and neurology treating not only the clinical symptoms but putting the patient in the middle of an holistic assessment and treatment. He uses a variety of techniques to treat including kinesiology taping and a variety of mobilisation/manipulation techniques as well as neurological techniques such as Bobath method.
