About Rachel Whitehouse (nee Glazier)

Rachael graduated from Keele University in 2006 with a BSc in Physiotherapy.  She is registered with the Health Professions Council and is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists. Throughout her career she has gained experience in a number of London’s large teaching hospitals within many different specialities: musculoskeletal, neurology, older people, A&E, HIV, oncology, burns, orthopaedics and respiratory.  Having experienced such a wide variety of areas, she has developed a holistic approach to her assessment and treatment.  Rachael is passionate about the benefits of exercise and building a good relationship with her clients in order to help them achieve their goals and enjoy physiotherapy.  She is a trained APPI pilates instructor and has completed many of their additional training in specific areas such as scoliosis, ante and post-natal, osteoporosis and hypermobility.  She has a specific interest in older persons health including osteoporosis and balance and those in nursing homes who need both exercise and social stimulation, as well as been keen to work with people who have experienced an acute sports injury.  She enjoys working with people of all ages to provide rehabilitation whatever the issue and to maximise their independence.
