About Samuel Hancock

Samuel qualified from the University of Central Lancashire in 2008 with a Sports Science degree and went on to become a qualified personal trainer with further qualifications in nutrition. Employed by the council for several years to provide health and fitness education with gym programmes to the public, he wanted to use his passion for exercise and knowledge of biomechanics to further use. Sam began to work in the NHS in Orthopaedics, Stroke and in Cardiac and Pulmonary rehab groups which was along side his role as a personal trainer to understand how similar training principles could be utilised for those are recovering from injury and illness. Sam qualified from Sheffield Hallam University as a Physiotherapist and has been employed by St Barts NHS Trust since Summer 2017. After working in Care of the Elderly and Respiratory Medicine, he has found his major interest lies with Musculoskeletal Outpatients – using his motivational skills with sound knowledge of anatomy and rehabilitation to help those who wish to recover and return to healthy movement, daily functions or even sporting events. Samuel’s interest lie in sport and athletics, often completing charity runs or assisting pitch side for youth football teams. Samuel started with PhysioComesToYou in late 2018 in his spare time to continually develop his assessment and treatment skills one – to –one .
