Suri qualified from the University of Karnataka, India as a physiotherapist in January 2001 and also gained post graduation diploma in Sports Physiotherapy and Nutrition in December 2001. He was undertaking masters level modules in neuromusculoskeletal healthcare in 2002/ 2003 from Keele University, UK before he joined in NHS service in 2004. He spent most of his working career in United Kingdom as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist.
He was appointed as a lead physiotherapist in 2006 for Ashford rugby club in Ashford, Kent and gained valuable experience in the management of sports injuries. Since moving to East Kent NHS trust, Suri has focused on musculoskeletal therapy and worked in a busy Fracture Clinic as a senior physiotherapist for over four years and also as a clinical specialist in Trauma and Orthopaedics in 2008. He also worked at Dover sports centre from 2009 to 2015 and then joined the David Lloyds gym in Maidstone in 2014.
He received masters degree in Orthopaedic medicine in 2012 from Middlesex University and Society of Orthopaedic Medicine. He also worked as a research assistant with PhD study, which involves provision of steroid injection therapy for shoulder related conditions and he is fully qualified injection therapist since 2011.
Suri worked as a Physiotherapy Manager for Spencer private hospital and also worked for Lewisham Hospital University trust as a spinal MSK extended scope practitioner (ESP) on part time based before he joined as an ESP for Hastings and Rother MSK service in October 2012. He has been working as a ESP since then and currently working for East Sussex NHS trust.
He provides expert opinion in musculoskeletal and orthopaedic physiotherapy including hydrocortisone injection therapy to joints and soft tissues, as well as requesting and interpreting specific diagnostics such as Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), CT-scan, X-rays, Nerve conduction studies and Blood tests.
He is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapists (CSP), the Association for Chartered Physiotherapists with an interest in Orthopaedic Medicine and Injection Therapy (ACPOMIT) and also he is member of the AACP (Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists).
Suri strongly believes in educating patient’s problem, pathology of their condition and how to manage in long term by achieving functional goals.
