About Whirl Pereira

Whirl qualified as a Physiotherapist in 2013 from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Karnataka, India. She commenced her career in a private practice in Goa, India assessing and treating patients with a wide range of disorders/injuries ranging from MSK, neuro, paediatrics, geriatrics, cardiorespiratory and sports background. She has worked with two eminent Indian Premier League Men’s football teams from Goa, India as a sports physiotherapist. Since coming to UK in 2016 she has worked within NHS and private practice treating MSK, Neurorehabilitation, elderly frailty and paediatrics caseloads. She uses her rehabilitation expertise and clinical reasoning to rehabilitate all conditions, treating the root and not just the problem. She regularly undertakes training courses and clinical supervision to update her skills and is due to attend 2 more courses on Bobath techniques and management of paediatric neuromuscular disorders in March and April 2020 respectively. She uses a variety of techniques to treat including kinesio taping, joint mobilisation and manipulation, muscle stretching, sports massage and soft tissue techniques.
