About Will Southward

Will graduated from Bournemouth University with a degree in Physiotherapy. Since then he has worked within the NHS covering a variety of specialist clinical areas including musculoskeletal, neurology, oncology, respiratory and orthopaedics. These experiences have allowed Will to develop a holistic approach to physiotherapy and treat a wide variety of clinical presentations.

Alongside his hospital work, he has also enjoyed working privately and within sports clubs including Bournemouth Rugby Club and the All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club where he gained experience in the acute assessment and management of sports specific injuries.

Throughout Will’s sporting and physiotherapy career, he has gained a unique perspective on rehabilitation as he has suffered and recovered from a wide variety of injuries and surgical interventions. This is what helped him have a deeper understanding of the human body and led him to become a fully qualified Pilates instructor as he personally witnessed the benefits of incorporating this into his rehabilitation programme. He is able to tailor this specifically to any individual’s needs and goals. He is also committed to his professional development by attending extra-curricular courses regularly to provide the most up to date evidence-based treatment.

Will’s passion is to help clients through the entire rehabilitation journey, overcoming obstacles along the way that they may have not thought were possible. He enjoys educating and setting collaborative goals with patients in order to help them successfully achieve their own specific goals and optimise their individual performance and prevent recurrent injuries in the long term.
